VitaScore Protocol
The Fitness Physical You Should Be Getting
Our proprietary testing battery and scoring system takes your results from 5 simple and evidence-based tests and provides you with a single age-based fitness value: your VitaScore.
Waist-to-Height Ratio
Grip Strength
Next, we'll determine your grip strength using lab-grade technology to assess your neuromuscular and musculoskeletal function.
Lower Body Power
Thirdly, your lower body power will be assessed to determine your strength and speed: a reflection of your risk for falls and overall mortality.
Single Leg Balance
Your single-leg balance will then be measured to provide further insight into your neuromuscular function and health.
VO2 Max
Finally, your VO2 Max can be determined from a maximal-effort or submaximal-effort test on a bike or treadmill to measure your cardiorespiratory and vascular fitness.
VitaScore FAQ's
Why should I measure my VitaScore?
The VitaScore is a reflection of your overall vitality and fitness based on the scores of five tests that have been heavily researched for decades. This score provides insight into which areas of your health and fitness are excelling and which areas have the greatest potential for improvement.
How often should I test my VitaScore?
Think of the VitaScore protocol as a fitness physical: just like you would see your primary care doctor for an annual physical, your VitaScore is most effectively assessed at least one time per year. However, those who are just beginning their fitness journey or pushing towards a new goal may see progress more quickly and can retest sooner if desired!
How long does the testing take?
The VitaScore Protocol is scheduled as a 75-minute appointment, but the testing itself only takes approximately 30-40 minutes. The extra time is included to discuss the client's results and provide general recommendations for how to improve their specific score for maximal health benefits.
How much does the VitaScore Protocol cost?
The VitaScore protocol is $250 to test. Because this is a wellness-based service, insurance does not cover this cost even though this is some of the most valuable health information that you can receive!
